The Artist

Mimi was born in NY, NY in 1950. She grew up just outside of the city in the quiet town of Darien, Conn. She was was raised in an Irish Catholic family of creative genius. Her upbringing was far from usual, and her early childhood was made up largely of paper mache, black and white film, and acting in educational videos. Her father was a visual and film artist and and her mother the ring master of chaos. Two of her three siblings now make their careers as professional artists. Mimi went to school to be a nurse, and worked in that field for 28 years, but her creative side was omnipresent. She raised two children in a world full of paint and color, and both children later grew up to become art teachers.

Mimi now works at the local homeless shelter and occasionally takes up "office" on her lovely porch overlooking the rolling hills of Vermont, where she paints for everyone vertical scenes of her magical world.
