Overview

This template is for editing in Microsoft Word 2002 or a later version only.  Select text you would like to replace and type over it. Use styles such as Heading 1-3 in the Style control on the Formatting toolbar if you want to add hyperlinks. Use Normal style for the rest of your text.  Delete the Table of Contents entry and the body text for items that you do not want to emphasize or that do not align with your “mission statement.”  Insert images to demonstrate your graphical work or show photos of your experiences.  Save often as a .doc file.

When you are finished, Save As a Web Page file (.html or .htm).  This will make a file you can give to me, email someone, or post on the web.  Important - make sure you keep all associated files and subfolders that Microsoft Word generates when you SAVE your file.  Always copy these to one location and keep the files together.

Your file size may eventually get quite large because everything is embedded in this file.  I would suggest that you keep the file on a CD or memory/flash key.   I would also strongly recommend keeping a couple of backup files.

Limit the width of images in this column to 5.8 inches.  When you insert an image it may come in at some other value.  You can change this by double-clicking on the object (perhaps more than once) and going to the “size” tab.

Delete these instruction paragraphs when you are finished with them and write your own text in their place.
