Section A (Afternoon)

      1. Externally Adjustable, High Performance, Clutch Weight for Snowmobiles

      2. Doug Lounsbury, Jason Young, Floyd Sheldon, Shauna Ferland
Snowmobiles are using clutch designs that are 20 years old when the motors were half as powerful as they are now.  This project will come up with a design that will smoke the current design in performance and reliabillity.

      3. Home-Base Bio-Diesel

      4. Duk Winans, Elvis Capron, Travis Trombly,
This is a senior project in the Bachelor's Degree Program in Electromechanical Engineering Technology. The students in charge of this project request your assistance with mechanical design and documentation. Check out their project web page.

      5. Rover III Robotic Platform

      6. Sam Hernandez, Chad Lothian, Jeff Wilson, Adam Linnebur
This is a senior project in the Bachelor's Degree Program in Electromechanical Engineering Technology. The students in charge of this project request your assistance with mechanical design and documentation. Check out their project web page.

      7. Thermal Dynamics Wire Stripper

      8. David Clagg, Dan Tabor, Eric Beane
Sponsored by Ken Isenor of Thermal Dynamics (West Lebanon, NH manufacturer of plasma cutting torches).
The goal of this project is to design a fast, flawless and smooth cutting and stripping mechanism designed to strip wires arranged in a circular pattern in a wiring harness that will be the attached to a plasma cutting torch.

      9. GW Plastics Automated Check-Valve Assembly

      10. Steve Heitkamp, Jason Bedi, Adam Linnebur
Sponsored by MT Alumni Dana Howe from GW Plastics (Bethel, VT manufacturer of precision plastic auto parts and assemblies) more info will follow.

Section B (Morning)
    1. Mechanically Interactive Playground Equipment

    2. Sara Hill, Addison Mckenzie, Robert Hesse, Steve Mitchell
I'm thinking huge gears that the kids can turn themselves, stationary bicycles that drives a gear train that turns a erry-go-round automatically. Or maybe a huge model of a clock laid out on the playground so kids can see how an simple model clock actually works. All sorts of interactive playground stuff where kids are learning about basic mechanical workings as they play. There's limitless ideas under this broad topic from the simple to the exciting and dangerous!

    3. Magnetic Suspension Integration System

    4. Denver Wilson, Adam Ranney, Melanie Campo
Either for rebound on a street bike, or for bottoming resistance and increased dampening on an enduro or trail dirt bike

    5. Applied Research Associates - Tractor Mounted Cone Penetrometer

    6. Ian MacKenzie, Alison Mulholland, David Manning
Compact version can be mounted to the back of a mid to small range tractor, which utilizes a three-point hitch and accessory quick-connect hydraulic leads from the tractor.  The needs of the hydraulics would be to operate the five foot piston that pushes any of the different sensors or tips that are used to measure different properties of the soil.  With success of this project, my supervisors have already commented on the probability of it becoming a product that would actually be manufactured and become part of their product line.

    7. Thermal Dynamics Wire Stripper

    8. Dan Leonard, Lee Strobridge, Chris Sulkoski, Jerry Tofferi, James Martin
Sponsored by Ken Isenor of Thermal Dynamics (West Lebanon, NH manufacturer of plasma cutting torches). More info will follow.
