ASSIGNMENTS

A separate subfolder for all of your assignment work.

LastName_First Initial

as shown to the left.

Within this folder create 3 additional

folders as noted below.

This file is txt file that includes an exact table of

contents along with any special notes of high level

importance.

 

 

 

SOLIDWORKS

A separate subfolder containing all files (and only files)

that require SolidWorks to open. You should also include

further subfolders that help to organize your work,

such as  PARTS, ASSEMBLIES, DRAWINGS.

 

 

 

DOCS

A separate subfolder containing all of your own

electronic documents associated with the assignment.

These include the electronic (PDF) print outs of your

SolidWorks drawings, instructional layouts, etc. Again,

use further subfolders to organize your work

appropriately.

Refer to Chapter 7 in Graphics Concepts with

SolidWorks for Techniques using the application.

(As usual all work is to be done in class)

 

Create a part or parts that demonstrate the following features:

Name your files to reflect the skills demonstrated:

  1. Revolve (Be sure to use a centerline designation for the center of

the revolution)

  1. Extrude
  2. Chamfer
  3. Coil
  4. Thread                            
  5. Fillet
  6. Shell
  7. Hole (use hole wizard)
  8. Hole (Use simple hole feature)
  9. Circular Pattern (the feature not the sketch tool)
  10. Rectangular Pattern (Feature)
  11. Mirror (sketch)
  12. Mirror (Feature)
  13. Sweep

EXERCISE 3_2: Create each of the four objects of above using the

SolidWorks techniques you learned in class. Explain in writing (no figures)

the steps you used in SolidWorks to create each object.

 

EXERCISE 3_3: Create a SolidWorks part and drawing of your paperweight.
